Quick overview
The HTX login process protects your account using password authentication and optional 2FA (two-factor authentication). Always use the official HTX site or mobile app and follow best practices to keep your account secure.
How to log in
- Open the official HTX website or launch the official HTX mobile app.
- Click the Login button on the top-right of the page.
- Enter your registered email address and password.
- If 2FA is enabled, enter your one-time code from your authenticator app or SMS.
- Complete any device verification prompts if you are logging in from a new device.
Security best practices
- Enable two-factor authentication (prefer an authenticator app over SMS).
- Use a strong, unique password and a reputable password manager.
- Always verify the URL and SSL certificate before entering credentials.
- Never share your password, 2FA codes, or recovery phrases with anyone.
- Use hardware wallets for long-term holdings and withdrawals when supported.
Troubleshooting common login issues
- Forgot password
- Use the "Forgot password" link on the login page to start a secure password reset. Follow the email verification steps to set a new password.
- 2FA not working
- Check that your device’s clock is synced (time drift can cause invalid codes). If you lost access to your authenticator, use your backup recovery codes or follow account recovery procedures listed by HTX support.
- Account locked or suspicious activity
- Contact HTX support immediately using the official support channels. Do not respond to unsolicited messages claiming to be support unless routed through the verified HTX website.
What to do if you suspect phishing
If you receive emails or messages asking for your credentials, 2FA codes, or recovery phrase, treat them as phishing attempts. Visit the HTX site directly (do not click links) and change your password. Report the message to HTX security.
